Our seals for your sustainability communication
The list of requirements for high-quality pet food packaging is long. In order for your product to stand out with retail chains, you should not underestimate the sales-driving role of sustainability. Sustainability seals make your commitment clear without any extra effort and also signal to consumers that the content is of high quality. There is no easier way to distinguish yourself from the competition.
The recyclability of our packaging made of mono-plastic is checked by the recycling service provider Interzero and certified with the "Made for Recycling" seal.
The raw materials for our paper-based packaging, on the other hand, are sourced exclusively from forest regions certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) organisation for sustainable forestry.
Last but not least: our "Biobased Ben" material consists of renewable raw materials. Such materials are tested and certified by the renowned TÜV Austria, which awards the "OK biobased" seal.

Pet food packaging: Is plastic-free always ecofriendly?
No, plastic-free does not mean that the packaging is automatically ecofriendly. Not all alternative materials to plastic are environmentally friendly: glass and can packaging, for example, consume more resources during production than plastic pouch packaging. Due to the high weight, more CO2 is emitted during transport. Moreover, the term “plastic-free” often hides bio-based plastics.
Which material do you recommend for pet food?
Pet food such as snacks, treats or dry food needs adequate protection from UV rays, moisture and oxygen.
That’s why we recommend our Metallised Martha, Transparent Toni or Robust Robin materials for packaging pet food.
How can the packaging be disposed of sustainably?
Our Toni and Martha packaging is made of mono-plastic and should be disposed of in the yellow bin in Germany. They can be recycled without any problems, which promotes a sustainable circular economy.
Our paper packaging Ben and Robin belong in the yellow bin as well, but they will be thermally recycled. Ben’s strength: since it is also made of bioplastic, it only releases as much CO2 as was previously absorbed by the plant. You can learn more about the waste management of our materials here.
