For complete transparency in terms of sustainability, we have brought environmental experts on board to test and certify our packaging materials. When ordering, you can simply print the corresponding seals on your eco-friendly packaging. In this way, they provide your customers with easy orientation when making their purchasing decisions. Good for the environment and your brand!
The recyclability of our packaging made of mono-plastic is checked by the recycling service provider Interzero and certified with the "Made for Recycling" seal.
The raw materials for our paper-based packaging, on the other hand, are sourced exclusively from forest regions certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) organisation for sustainable forestry.
Last but not least: our "Biobased Ben" material consists of renewable raw materials. Such materials are tested and certified by the renowned TÜV Austria, which awards the "OK biobased" seal.

What food can I put in the pouches?
Our pouches can be used for all kinds of food products thanks to the taste- and odourless packaging materials, the pressure seal and the optimal protective properties against oxygen, moisture and UV radiation.
All parties involved in the manufacturing process produce your packaging according to the BRCGS – the international safety standard for food packaging. This is how we ensure that your packaging is suitable for food products.
Here are some examples of food you could fill in our pouches:
Granola & muesli, oats (our recommendation: Toni, Martha or Robin material)
Dried fruit, nuts, snacks, superfood (our recommendation: Toni or Martha material)

Tip: If you want to pack coffee, our flat bottom pouches with the integrated aroma valve combined with the Martha or Robin material are the perfect choice for you.
Especially with non-locally produced products like coffee, it is important to many customers to compensate for long transport routes and CO2 emissions. With our eco-friendly coffee packaging and the corresponding seals, you can make your environmental commitment tangible for your customers.
Does Veloxglobaltrade have food packaging made from recycled plastic?
Up to now, there has been no use of recycled plastics in flexible packaging (e.g. stand-up pouches) for food. The reason for this is the risk to food safety, as it cannot be ruled out that harmful chemicals from the recycled materials pass into food.
To rule this out, a “closed loop” must be ensured. Unfortunately, this has only been done very rarely so far, for example in the PET deposit system. However, we are already working on packaging solutions made of recycled materials in the form of mailer bags for the e-commerce sector.

The concrete framework conditions depend on the type of food – however, some legal information is generally obligatory:

Do you also offer organic packaging for food?
Our “Biobased Ben” material consists of sustainable paper and a biobased protective layer. This inner layer protects reliably and is made from renewable raw materials. Thus, Ben is our ecological variant: with it, we reduce the use of conventional plastic and mitigate additional CO2 emissions.
