For complete transparency in terms of sustainability, we have brought environmental experts on board to test and certify our packaging materials. When ordering, you can simply print the corresponding seals on your eco-friendly packaging. In this way, they provide your customers with easy orientation when making their purchasing decisions. Good for the environment and your brand!
The recyclability of our packaging made of mono-plastic is checked by the recycling service provider Interzero and certified with the "Made for Recycling" seal.
The raw materials for our paper-based packaging, on the other hand, are sourced exclusively from forest regions certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) organisation for sustainable forestry.
Last but not least: our "Biobased Ben" material consists of renewable raw materials. Such materials are tested and certified by the renowned TÜV Austria, which awards the "OK biobased" seal.

Why do we recommend pouches for spices instead of jars and tins?
The manufacturing process of jars and cans is extremely energy-intensive, so jars and cans are not as environmentally friendly as often assumed. The storage and transport of inflexible packaging such as spice jars is more expensive and also consumes more CO2.
Our pouch packaging consumes up to 60% less CO2 than spice jars or cans thanks to its lower weight & use of resources. The recycling possibilities of our materials made from mono-plastics are excellent and certified by the environmental and recycling service provider Interzero with the “Made for Recycling” seal.
Which material do we recommend for your spice packaging?
Spices are sensitive to UV radiation and humidity and, if insufficiently protected, can change their flavour and consistency. That’s why we recommend our ‘Martha’ or ‘Toni’ materials for packaging spices.
Flat bottom pouch, flat pouch or stand-up pouch (also known as Doypacks): all our packaging is suitable for food products such as spices, as all companies involved in the manufacturing process work in accordance with the BRCGS food standard.
Where does the production of the spice packaging take place?
Our stand-up pouches, flat bottom pouches and flat pouches are produced and printed in Europe. Thanks to this proximity, production processes are supervised efficiently and optimised more quickly. Material safety is also always guaranteed. We avoid long transport routes and thus consume less CO2. As a packaging company, we have a great responsibility for our environment and put minimising our ecological footprint on our agenda every day.
